The 3rd Annual Santathon at The Courtyard Ale House in Sunnyside, Queens!

Join us for the 3nd Annual Santathon presented by Sunnyside’s Boulevard Bars on Saturday, December 6th! It’s a festive pub crawl for charity that celebrates the community of Sunnyside, your favorite bars and restaurants, and the holiday season!

Santathon 2014Stop in today to pick up a $10 wristband that will entitle you to $4 drink specials at all participating bars on the day of the event: Jack’s Fire Dept., The Courtyard Ale House, Bar 43, Maggie Mae’s, The Gaslight, Arriba Arriba, Sidetracks, Molly Blooms, PJ Horgan’s, McGuinness’s Saloon, and Bliss Street Station). You can also submit your email address to be entered to win a gift voucher to one of the bars.

Santa attire is required to partake in Santathon festivities (whether it’s just a Santa hat or a full-on Santa suit!), and all proceeds from the sale of wristbands will go to buy toys for local kids most in need this Christmas. We’re also collecting monetary and new, unwrapped toy donations from now through the end of December.

Last year’s Santathon raised $10,000 and collected hundreds of toys in the first holiday-themed pub crawl of its kind in Sunnyside. Additional toys were bought with the money donated and delivered to St. Teresa’s in Woodside, St. Raphael’s in Sunnyside, the 108th Precinct, the MercyFirst Angel Guardian Orphanage in Brooklyn, the post-Hurricane Sandy 94th Street toy drive in the Rockaways, the Metro homeless shelter on Queens Boulevard, and the Hour Children Center in Long Island City.

Since its inception two years ago, Sunnyside’s Boulevard Bars has held multiple events in the neighborhood. Recent events include our Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Music Festival, featuring live Irish music and food and drink specials in all our bars, where we raised money for wounded army veterans.
